
Mr. Kuo Tung-hsiu (郭東修), widely known by his nickname "Dong-Gua" (Winter Melon), was a legendary figure in Taiwan's funeral industry, revered for his "Bodhisattva heart" and lifelong commitment to helping the underprivileged. To honor his legacy, his son, Mr. Kuo Hsien-hung (郭憲鴻), founded "Melon Life Travel."
The brand is built on a profound philosophy: Passing is merely the beginning of another journey. Melon Life Travel reimagines a funeral service provider as a "travel agency" for the soul, meticulously arranging the final itinerary for the departed.
The visual identity preserves the iconic silhouette of the "Winter Melon" to maintain the brand's emotional connection with the founder. I integrated this silhouette with traditional calligraphy, creating a harmonious blend of heritage and modern aesthetics. The circular motif symbolizes "Yuan Man" (Completion and Fulfillment)—ensuring that the life story of the departed concludes with dignity, peace, and wholeness.














To further propagate professional funeral education and essential cultural knowledge, Mr. Kuo Hsien-hung (Xiao Dong-Gua) founded "One-Way Ticket Travel Agency (單程旅行社 Melon Life Travel)", a dedicated YouTube channel. The platform serves as a leading knowledge-based channel, providing authoritative and accurate information on funeral rituals, traditional customs, and etiquette.



Following the successful establishment of the Melon Life Travel brand, I learned that Mr. Kuo Hsien-hung (Xiao Dong-Gua) was about to embark on the next chapter of his life—his marriage. It was a profound honor for me to contribute my creative efforts once again, this time celebrating the union of this wonderful couple.
